Default Fuel Pump Pulsator

I was reading about how these can stop fuel pressure loss and vibration, but how does it work?
Also, does my car have one?
I looked in the Helms index and did not see it listed.

Yes, your 93 has one. It reduces the fuel pressure variations that occur as the fuel injectors open and close, and to reduce operating noise.

I replaced mine when my fuel pressure would drop off pretty quickly after shutting the engine down. Held the pressure for hours with the new one!

I took mine off and used a rubber hose in place of it after changing my fuel pump. Without the pulsator, you can hear a lot more ticking from the injectors.

Isn't that hard on the injectors (water-hammer effect)?

Probably would be more effective in knocking out deposits or impurities which sometimes cause injectors to fail. I like hearing my injectors knowing they are working all right.
