It could be all in the ECM if a ground is going bad there too??? Only way to tell though is to replace it and see if it solves the problems. That is why I HATE electrical intermittant problems.

Just went through the same thing with my DFI system. It kept blowing the one internal circuit. Sent it in about 5 times, replaced the board - still did it. Each time it did it, it would hold the injector on 100% with the key on which resulted in hydrolocking the motor with fuel! Thank god it did would not fire the spark plugs when this occured or i would have SURELY bent a rod or damaged the rings or pistons.....

FInally they checked everything out and it came back and I should not even say it, but its been working great. Had the same problem off the line...it would act as if it had a HUGE stumble...started last year....when my other motor went! Coincidence? Will never know...so besides it screwing me this entire season....it might have cost me a motor last year! Can't say for sure...but they did everything I asked as far as service to help me out this year......

I would send you an ECM if I had one, only have a 90 as a backup...maybe someone else seeing this will offer a loaner to see if that corrects your problem.....Might wanna ask the guy at a local autozone or something...the one guy let me change mine once before to see if it solved the problem...it did so I kept it.

Lastly, one other thing not to be overlooked is you should pull the harness of your ECM anyways, this is a good idea for ANYONE that hasn't done so lately. During this inspect with a BRIGHT light all the pins and female recepticals for the pins. When I removed mine years ago, there were several that were heavily corroded. I never had a problem, but I am sure if left go it would have eventually. I cleaned them all with a good contact cleaner.

Just some more areas to look....try to eliminate all the free ones first...

Good luck

To let anyone know just before these 2 codes happened on mine, I had to take my car to the engine shop that originally did all my work--because the pcv slipped out of the valve cover and oil was spraying everywhere and its all over some wires down the passenger side area....I haven't gotten to examine everything. The original post I made was for codes 33 and 43--but they happened at the same time and my accerlation seemed to get worse!! hopefully this oil spill mess can further enlighten a possible problem I can fix and solve the codes....---THIS all happened after the oil spraying out...

Ok, after searching through other threads about the knock sensor, I'm not sure where the knock sensor is even located. Someone mentioned it screws in the block next to the oil pan and HARD to see from the engine bay--but I though it was the white wire/plug that is on the passengerside just under the header. But I can clearly see it and pulled the plug out to see if oil was getting into it somehow--but it looks fine, is this the temp sensor I'm confusing it with-it does have a 2wire plug that plugs onto sensor?
