i thought the C6 ZO6 pulled like 510hp ? could've sworn i read that in MotorTrend or AutoWeek. is that the engine power itself or flywheel ? or is that number just completely off ?
EDIT: pulled up a nifty site i use alot Z06 Specs that says 505hp as well. what gives ? and oh yea...hi all :-P new member to the board
The factory ratings are at the flywheel. On a chassis dyno, the power is measured at the rear tires. So you have the loss of drivetrain etc. which drives down the hp number.

alrighty. after i posted i remembered most of the time they're advertise in flywheel hp. plus i figured the magazines would give actual RWHP instead of just saying "this is what Chevy said" but i guess not still, 448rwhp is no joke. i want a vette...
