Default Upgrading intake/fuel injection....

I was recently inquiring about a rebuild for my lt-1 and was looking into a 383 stoker with afr heads and a cc306 cam, and the place i called said that i would have to spend lots of money upgrading the intake and injection on the car to get it to run properly....

I was just wondering about possible intake and fuel injection upgrades for an lt-1, or if i would just need a retune...

And, any possible experiences that you have all had would be greatly appreciated...

thanks in advance...

middletown? I am from the Dover area!

Ok... lemme think... as for the LT1 intake/injection... the intake is pretty damned good as it is, a little port matching, and that's that.

The ECU is rather good, really... a retune is your best bet.

I'm with bogus. Many have built 383s and used stock injectors with higher fuel pressures and supported some big Hp motors. As for the intake there's no worries there at all as long as you have it matched to your heads.

A tune is always the best way to get the most out of a 383.

Thank you guys, i was thinking that it sounded kind of wierd, ive heard of upgrading the l98 intakes, but no more than simple port matching on an lt-1....

A retune was obviously gonna be needed, but from what the way the shop was sounding, it was gonna be like thousands getting it to work correctly...
