I have a 95 and my service asr light has been coming on and of. It started doing it at the track last friday. When I take acorner the rear wheel thats on the inside of the corner locks up. Any idea where I should start looking?
Thanks, Ray
Low brake fluid in the master can cause the ABS or possibly ASR light to come on. But if you have a wheel locking up, the speed sensors in the wheel will activate the brake computer and activate the ASR or ABS systems. You have to find out why the wheel is locking up. Could be brakes or defective ABS system. If you disable the ABS pump, this would eliminate that factor. Have you checked out the wheel and brake? But more info is needed for a true direction.

I didn't know where to begin. I'll look at it more later today. How do I disable the ABS pump and is there a way to check the speed sensors in the wheels? Thanks
For me, a 93 owner, it was my rear pads. Back about 50,000 miles ago it did what you described and I change out the pads and the light didn’t come back on.
To add to or agree to what pcolt94 is saying about fluid, I may have added a bit of fluid too, but the fresh thicker pads would have move a little bit of fluid back to the master cylinder.
Brake fluid is good. Pulled rear speed sensors and they looked good but didn't test. I have got to find out how to test them. Unpluged modulator valve in back of the driver seat, still did it. It's only doing it in the rear and it's more like a shudder of the rear tire but it's enough to leave a black mark on a hard turn. Could it be the possi rear end, could it be in the differential? It started doing this after a hard pass at the track with ET Street slicks on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
