Jsailor24, Fuel filter is under car, bolted to inside of frame rail, passenger side, directly below front end of seat. To get to it you'll need to get the car upon jack stands or blocks. Use tubing wrenches, not std open end because you don't want to round the fittings. Also, take pressure off fuel system before you start or you'll get wet with gas when you loosen fittings. Use good filter, this is a high pressure system. Good Luck

THanks for the explanation. Are tubing wrenches the same thing as 'flare nut wrenches'? We have a set of those and that's what my husband calls them - but not being overtly tool-saavy I thought I'd ask you guys. :D
Also, how do you get the pressure off the fuel system? Remove the gas cap? Is there something else? Thanks, ~Juliet
Juliet, Tubing wrenches are basically heavy duty box end wrenches with a section cut out to allow you to put as much wrench onto the tubing fitting nut. Why? because typically the metals used for tubing are soft and get damaged easily. Sounds like you've got the right tools. As for fuel pressure relief, 2 most popular ways are either 1.) start engine and then pull the fuel pump fuse (10 amp) out of fuse panel and let engine run till it dies... or using the fuel pressure gage, going to the fuel rail and bleeding off the fuel pressure at the gage fitting (passenger side between #6 & 8 cylinder). Good luck and no smoking !!!!
