clean injectors off the car
I thought of letting the "business" end sit in some carb cleaner, and have read the warnings against totally immersing the entire injector in any sort of cleaning agent, but is there a preferred method..?
Do a google search I'm sure you'll find lots of pages on DIY injector cleaning.
If yours are the RP Mulitechs, they should be 16.5, +/-, .3 according to the factory service spec. If they are outside this range, the coils are bad. That is the problem with the Multitech's, the gas cools them, which is obviously a solvent, so over time it breaks the windings down.
Finally, they are usually ultrasonically cleaned, and then flow tested. This service will usually be in the $100 - $125 range, so for a little more money, and you already have them out, why not replace them? Don't be like me, and pull it down to the intake......5 times, before you finally replace them

He is not accepting any injectors for the time being, but at $12 each, it's better than $150 each (new) which is a quote from Autozone+Napa for a Camaro V6 injector (that's one, not a "set").
Summit will sell a set of 6 for the V6 for $85 (GM Perf Parts).......so I would say it pays to shop around a bit...whether it's your Corvette or kid's car.
