How to get rid of fuel in the fuel-rail
I am going to take the intake manifold out tomorrow to re-seal and replace the gaskets.
Read somewhere that I should pull a fuse and run the engine until all the fuel in the rail is empty. What fuse is that? the fuel pump? or the fuel relay? I could just release the pressure from the valve at the rail...Do I really need to do that?
Thanks

there is a fuse called fuel inj. that will do it if you yank it and start the car.
If you already have stuff apart, you could use the shrader valve to let off fuel pressure, make sure you have a rag around it to absorb the fuel.

As long as you disconnect the battery to insure there's no possible way to get a spark, there's no reason why you can't bleed it off at the valve and use a rag to keep the spillage down. I've never had a problem.
