How do unplug the guage cluster.I have never seen connectors like them, after struggling for 15 min I decided it was time to go to the forum to find out.
My dwg shows bolt from the 32-pin connector with a nut on the inside of the cluster on the upper right (looking from behind the connector). The lower left appears to have a screw from inside the cluster thourgh the connector.
I was able to figure it out.what a hassle today has been just to replace one dash bulb I basically had t tear apart the whole dash.Knowing my luck I'll get the whole thimg back together and the dash won't work. :smash:
Just got everthing buttoned up and all is well.I have to clean the connectors another time.Actually the gauge cluster isn't that bad to take out its just frustrateing when all i had planned was to change a bulb and it ened up being a whole other project.6501 thanks for the tips.
You don't have to remove the cluster to replace the lamps. Remove the bezel and the four shiny reflectors over the lamps. Push a close fitting piece of tubing over the lamp and pull the lamp out of its socket. Use the tubing to reinstall. The socket on the cluster has two locking ears which must be released in order to unplug the socket.
