I've got a quick fix for those floppy C4 sun visors. You know, when the outboard 3 inches hangs down and flops in the breeze?
Next time you change your windsheild wipers, pull the thin metal strips off each side. They are usually about .10 inch wide and about .04 thick and best of all, made of stainless steel and are fairly springy. Cut the lenght to be about 3/4 of an inch shorter than your visor. Grind one end flat and put a point on the other end. Make two of these for each visor.
Insert the pointed end into the seam on the outside edge of the visor just above the hard insert for the mirror, and slide it all the way across. Make sure you don't poke through the side, or snag any of the wires or hardware inside the visor. They should go right through the middle. Put a second strip just under the mirror. These will stiffen up the visor, but are still flexible enough to allow the end to bend when the visor is all the way up.

kick ***! something to do this weekend. Where did you get that plastic tho? seems like it was about perfect, thickness and all.
I first used a slat off of window blinds (thats what's pictured) but after a couple months of wind beating on it the blind broke in half. I cut up a similar shaped peice off of the side of a big meguiars soap container which is much much thicker and its been over a year and they are still holding up great. Be creative. I'm sure you can find something around the house to use.
I did the repair with a viny blind slat. I put one above the mirror and one below. They have held fine for about three months - even in 95 degree heat and sun. I think the idea of a thin metal strip would be good.
