Ok
like the title says I'm trying to figure out what type of headers I got.
I'm wanting to redone my exhaust and thought that getting a Jet-Hot coating on the LT would be fine but, they are really corroded on the bottom so it would seem like a waste of money. I would like to see if I can buy the same type with a coating on them but again I don't know what type they are. this is for a custom application it is a 87 350 Chevy engine with T-56 in a 84 Mazda RX-7.
No one seem to know on thirdgen.org
and they suggested they many be c4 headers.
Here the pictures
and all I know from measuring it is
that the tubs are 1 3/4" and 2.80" collectors
which I'm guessing is 3" just with a lot of corrosion
Also anyone that know a type that might fit the same way please tell me.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks, JR

They look like "tuned long tubes" or that each tube is approximately the same length for each cylinder, and why they are seemingly twisted around each other, to end up at the same location, for the collector connection to the rest of the exhaust system. The tone of the exhaust system is enhanced as well as the back pressure on each cylinder is equal.
Come to think of it, are you sure that is an LT1 engine? 350 CI, possibly.

He didn't say it was an LT1 engine. He said it was an 87 350. As for the headers, they don't look like any production LTs for the C4 I've seen, and I've just been shopping for headers. The way they wrap around in the middle is different. They look like Hooker Super Competition headers to me. The flange is very thick and they are obviously a high quality header. I'm not sure, however, what their original application was for. Perhaps you could contact Hooker with the car type and pics/measurements of these headers and figure out what they have that will work.
Sorry, you are right. I'd sworn I saw LT1 in the title but it was "LT" for long tubes.
Guess I've been looking for LT1 parts for my '94 Vert and everything looks like LT1.
