Default my 383 build update...

hey guys!!! i'm back again with an update on my build as requested a couple of months ago. i took some people's advice and brought the shortblock over to a reputable race engine builder by me to get a second opinion on the build. it's a good thing too because the rod bearings were a little too tight and he said they would have spun. that would not have been a good thing. so, he replaced them for me and checked everything else. everything is perfect now and i can continue the build without hesitation. here are some updated pics of the build. the intake manifold is just resting on the engine because i still have to install the roller rockers and pushrods and such. let me know what you think.

thanks guys!!!

i'm working with Richie at McBetts in Bohemia. they're a small cash only place, but i saw one of the engines that they built when i picked up mine. it was a BBC 540ci with a blower on top pushing around 14psi. Richie said on race gas it will make a little over 1000hp. they are AMAZING at what they do and i would give them my business any day of the week. their address is 1121 lincoln ave. it's an industrial complex and they're in the back left corner. their phone number is 631-567-4544. hope this helps!
