Default Super ram availability

Anyone know when these will be available again. Jegs keeps moving the date on their delivery, saying some problems at manufacturer. I can find the base but not the plenum and runner assembly.

hmmmm.....that's frustrating. at the moment, nothing on ebay. i would keep trying ebay, as well as posting a WTB ad in the parts for sale section. usually a nice used runners & plenum kit comes up. i got a NIB superram runners & plenum kit with an extra set of all bolts for $625 shipped, over a year ago, right on ebay.

hang in there.......its all definitely worth it.

edit: plenum & runners kit for sale right here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1507160

Have you tried www.summitracing.com? I got mine from them last year at this time with no problem. I have heard from other boards the problems with trying to get one new but didn't think it was still going on. Worth a shot.

I called Lingenfelter and the person I talked to said they only designed the parts and that they dont sell them. Accell has the contract to manufacture, but other places sell them.

Call that person back and tell him to stop smoking that stuff. I found it in their store click on this link
http://www.lingenfelter.com/store/p02.html and scroll down. They have it for $864.00 which is more than I paid on ebay. I will look for a better price.

This is the guy on Ebay that I got my super ram from. http://stores.ebay.com/Maxximum-EFI_...QQftidZ2QQtZkm
He was good to deal with. I called him a few times for installation advise. He always called me right back.

Kool,

A new SR is on backorder, no matter who you try to buy it from.

Accel has been having problems.

I had problems installing my superram. The lid was bent. They sent me a new billet lid that I polished myself and it looks good. I also had some trouble lining things up. I took it apart three time because I had minor vacuum leaks. Once I finished it I was amazed at the extra HP. It's a real tough install. If I had to do it again I would not buy one. I would get the Arizona Speed runners and port my stock plenum. Oh well I guess I rambled on and got off the topic.

Not to

Kool,
A tip I picked up from Corvette0096 is slotting the runner to plenum bolts, makes it much easier.
Also, use vasoline on the gaskets and it will help them seal. Not a lot just enough to make them look wet. That tip courtesy of PeteK.
I have heard of the lid thing, but I haven't had problems with mine. Is it easy, it is just nuts and bolts. Get a ratcheting box end wrench to fit the runner->plenum bolts and the right socket for a 1/4" drive. This makes it pretty easy.
And be happy you got the SR, if you did runners you would be out 3/4$ and be wishing you had the power of the SR.

Thanks, it's on now and running good. I'm wondering do you have to remove the entire SR to service your injectors? I'm looking at upgrading my injectors someday and wonder if I have to tear it all down again. Maybe I should start a new thread about it.

They are still on backorder. I have three ordered for my shop. I may have one coming in after SEMA. For some reason there has been some foundry issues with the casting of the manifolds.

Ive got my motor out and gathering parts... It would suck if I couldnt find one when I'm ready and then have to put on the stocker just to remove it again when I got the superram!!
