I am looking for the best underdrive pullies for a a C4. I found these http://www.madvet.com/shop?frame=3.141.844 and they state 12-15 rwhp increase.I am sure these #s are for a stock Vette. Does anyone know of a better set? Thanks!

Do you feel you got the 12-15 extra rwhp advertised? I am over 400 hp now so I hope to get a couple more hp then that.

You might want to look at ASP in Texas. If they don't already have it they can make anything you want and the prices are fair with great shipping and phone help. We have a set on a 89'L98 block and no problems what so ever. wro87

March doesn't make them for the LT1 'Vette anymore.

I believe ASP is your only option for a new set.

This mod is worth about 4hp on a stock LT1, as the waterpump is not belt-driven.

Unless the Firebird and Camaro pulleys will fit that are listed on the website for March. Summit also has the LT1 Generation II pulleys but it doesnt say Corvette only Firebird and Camaro. I will check ASP.

Thanks

Edit: ASP has some. How are theses compared to the MidAmerica pulleys?

93-96 350 LT1 22% Crank15% Alternator 900 RPM ASP945803 * Nitride $164.95

i have the ASP crank pulley on my LT4. no issues. the reason i bought it was because my 396 was internally balanced, and it turned out that my stock pulley had an imbalance. as soon as i stuck the ASP pulley on the slight engine vibration disappeared.

I went with a ATI superdampner with 10% underdrive on my new 396 build.

I noticed a difference in performance. Can't say exactly how many HP. For a couple hundred and three hours work it's worth it.

Just beware that your alt speed at slow speeds will cause a drain on the battery.

IMHO for street use, go with the crank pulley alone.

The power and amp set has a smaller alternator pulley so that it is unaffected by underdriving everything else.

The alt pulley on a Power and Amp kit OVERdrives the alt to keep output near stock.

The crank alone would underdrive the alt as well.

I got the March power and amp pullys. My amp meter puts out a steady 13.5 volts and keeps my battery charged. The alternator pully is a little larger and the other pullys are 25% undersized. Everything works fine. I put in a new high output waterpump, a 160 thermostat and a new Dewitts radiator.. My ac works great and my Vette runs cool now. I read that some brands are for off road use only but the March series is OK for the street.
