Default Cooling Problem 95 C4

Yep it ran warm climbing a mountain about 8,000 ft. altitude and really overheated in Parade at 91 degrees outside temp. creeping and walking speed at 3600 ft. altitude.
AC on both fans getting it and full coolant levels. I will have to check the pressure cap but mostly want a opinion that is cleaning the radiator worthwhile or should the over ten year old thing made of Alum. [ I Think ] possibly too corroded inside [ I hear Alum. looses heat transfer properties over time] and replace core for max cooling again.
Car has 90,000 miles and radiator and coolant appear to be clean and correct ratio.

Hot and Hotter ?
I bailed out of the parade with the temp somewhere around 260 and after pulling away and running 30 mph a few minutes temps returned to normal.
Climbing the mountain it just climbed up maybe 230or so but it also returned to normal rest of the trip.
Don't drive the car enough in traffic to know about that business.
I was told years ago radiators should be cleaned every three years and also alum. cores will corrode even with coolant and loose heat transfer properties.
I like the car but am considering a C6 early next year.

I would see if you are clogged up first
No need to replace if it is still good
It is amazing when you look under the car
If you wanted to design a road vacuum that would do it

Cussing like a sailor! Yeah that front is a real problem we found a couple of leafs. As clean as the fluid is I will most likely do a cooling tune up before next summer consisting of remove radiator for rotting out and then replace thermostat [ always use fail-safe thermostat or drill a hole in reg. one ] , fan sensor all coolant related hoses including those on intake flush heater core , maybe upgrade water pump. [ have to be careful there as more isn't always better as water has to spend time in cooling cycle in radiator to reduce heat which is a good reason not to remove that thermostat ]
This is my first vette and it lives up to expectations a particularly like the full frontal access the C4 affords but the room afforded my large frame by the trans axle C6 's is really appealing . I really like the looks of the C4 better.

Check out Dewitt's radiators. I put one in with a 160 thermostat. I also programed a chip to turn the fans on at 175. It's never gotten over 195 now even in 100 degree weather with the ac on.
