Default removing O2 sensor

I have a 93 Corvette and am trying to replace the right O2 sensor. It is located on top of the exhaust. What is the best way to remove, from the top or under the car. I have an O2 socket I can get on the sensor, just not sure if it can be removed with a socket and a long extension from the top. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

From under the car. The driver's side sensor is the one that's a little more difficult to get to but both are manageble with the tool you have.

Also, be prepared for the sensor connector pigtails to break during removal.

They are plastic and take a beating from all the exhaust heat. You can get them cheap at NAPA and other auto parts store counters.

Go with an O.E.M. style sensor (do not get a cheapie one that requires you to splice into the wiring harness.

I like AC/Delco or Denso, personally, but some have had good luck with Bosch, others not..
