EGR test, how to?
Working on an 89 vette, 25k miles. I have the upper plenum off whle adding an afpr and found the previous owner disconnected the egr valve. I have a mighty vac, I bring it to 15 in of vac and it slowly bleeds off. Should it hold or bleed off. Any other reason why it would be disconnected, solenoid or temp switch or most likely the valve. Any way to test while apart? I searched but couldn't find the egr test specifics IE how much vac and how long. Thanks

You can easily test the whole EGR system, but you'll need the FSM flow chart to test it properly.
