I've had to replace my driver's side front window slider twice in 5 months so this time I decided to do a slight little mod to hopefully help it last and take the abuse (I ride with the windows down alot).
Here's the broken piece
I drilled a very small hole to slide in a small zip tie. This is to help brace it when it takes the impact when shutting the window...
I put it in place and zipped it shut, but not too tight. Just snug, I just don't want it to be able to push out on the outer arm of the slider.
What is the condition and adjustment on the upper pads like? I broke one of these on the right hand side recently, next time i break one ill be making a new one from stainless steel
