How much money would it cost to get a set of heads flow tested?
I'm thinking of buying a set of heads of a guy, he's in TX and doesn't have flow sheet. If it was cheap and I was very interested in getting these heads I might send him to the flow bench for testing so I'd know what I'm getting my hands on.
$50?
...and out of a set of Edelbrock Victor Jr. 215 cc heads, 64cc, "heavily CNC ported" what kind of numbers would I expect to see at say .550 lift?
Contact Lloyd Elliott. Since he's in TX anyway, have the guy ship them to Lloyd and then Lloyd ship them to you. Lloyd likes to see what other people's heads flow, so he probably won't charge you much. Then you also have them done on a bench that a lot of LT1 heads have been done on, for comparison.
How would I contact Lloyd Elliott? I guess I'll try to google him.
Jeff, yeah I'm thinking of a few things. I got a line on a 400 block (509 casting) and a set of heads that apparently flow more than a hurricane, which is why I wanna test 'em out to see how they REALLY flow. I guess if I get these parts, I'll have to get the ol' Super Ram ported out too, heh. It's gonna end up a SR 406 maybe with a solid roller.

If I remember right, my machinist charges $35 for one intake and exhaust port and $5 for each additional pair. They generally measure from .100" to .600" lift in .100" increments.
I hope that don't infringe on any local vendors support stuff. Hmm.
Anyways I think I'm gonna get the guy to ship them to him for flow testing at my expense due to the fact that I am really considering these heads anyways.
I'll keep you updated on the heads. These heads are off a guy from another forum.
