What is the best way to get the 3 torx screw's out? I have one loose and the other 2 are frozen in there. I am soaking them in P.B.Blaster the best I can.I just put it on the top and hope it will work it's way down. Any idea's?I hear these screw's are a problem. My first C-4. Thank's in advance . Viet
If you are careful how about a little heat, when you get them out don't forget to coat the threads with a little anti-seeze to prevent this from happening in the future.
I have tried tapping on them, I do that when I have anything like that and it usually work's, but not this time. I don't know how you would get any heat to the screw.Possibly by putting a little heat on the plenum itself would help. Definately on the anti sieze.thank's guy's, any other idea's? Viet
Heat it up so it will melt candle wax and put a candle on it so the heated wax can flow down around the treads. I have had this work on tough bolts after other lubricants did not.

Did you use a screw driver type handle w/torx bit? Turn and tap handle with hammer at the same time.
I tried the screw driver type as well as ratchet type. I did not try tapping while trying to turn it. I put a screw driver in it and tapped on that lightly.I am willing to try almost anything. I have alway's had very good luck with blaster, but I think it met it's match this time. Viet
Get a drill with a nice clutch. Put the bit in it. The vibrating from the clutch engaging has a way of shaking things loose. This works for me one time in four. I call it the poor man's impact wrench. Unless you want to spend the $$ on an electric impact. Just set it LOW and but impact rated bits.
thank's guy's I am going to try the ratchiting drill, idea. If I were to say vibrating drill i'm afraid my wife would see this and then there would be all hell to pay. Any other suggestion's? Viet

I have 2 out of 3 loose. The problem is I think that the head on #3 is about shot. I have to go get a 15 mm torx. I am going to try and find a hardened set. Maybe Sears? And they should have the impact driver.I got #2 by tapping on the handle of the screw driver handle while turning it .Like I said I think 3 is screwed up in the head. If so do I have to drillit out? Viet
I got #3 . I ran all over town looking for a hand impact and no one had one. So I came home and looked at a t-20 and tried it. It barely fit the walloed out T-15.So I tapped into the 15 and tried the screwdiver handle and a hammer and tapped as I turned and it came loose. I need all new torx screw anyway. But It is OUT !! Thank's for all the great help and advice.. Viet
I had one once that was completely stripped out. But, I could get to the outside of the head.
I got a set of Bolt-Outs from Sears, and put one on that just barely fit the outside of the head. As you turn the bolt-out it digs into the head, and spun it right out!
