Stock Superram Runner pics?
The unit actually looks good, and from my eye the runners look like they have been ported extensively. But saying that, I have never seen any stock runners. Curious of what the runners size are for the top and bottom, and any pics would be cool. Heck if anyone has any nice looking SR's then lets see the pics. I will take a few pics of mine and throw them up here. Mine is polished, and painted red. Its quite the nice looking unit actually.
I have been talking to guys lately. Guys not from this forum. Billy and Pete that work at www.autoworxperformance.com they both mentioned that if you have a ported SR, ported heads, exhaust that flows etc.....The real bottle neck of the SR is the base. They mentioned even a fully ported out accel base cant flow enough to keep up with the total package. These guys build cars that run 8,9,10 sec so not too worried. Just some info. Billy in the mid 90's had one of the quickest C4 IRS cars in North America trapping in the 170 mph range. I am confident they know what they are talking about.
He did mention however that a well tuned 355 car with SR/195CC heads/LPE 219/Good exhaust system will run deep 12's, or high 11's with a converter at 114-115. He personally ran these #'s in the day with ported 113's.
I have been talking to cuisinartvette(ron) lately. Since I dont have alot of time to port the base. I might send him a few bucks and have him do it. From what I remember he did a good job on his old L-98 intake.

you're way too worried about your buildup. i thought i was bad in my day, but i've apparently been completely overblown by your talents

i heard that about you.....
here's one of the biggest things i ever learned here: bringing more cooks into the kitchen will muck up your direction. all those cooks can be top experts, and your direction will nonetheless get mucked up. this is a fact. all the "pros" have their own opinions. the more you talk, the more nothing will ever happen. you're worrying about non-consequential matters on a street application with this manifold porting business. it won't translate to anything. it won't matter. just do port matching --- that's really all you'll need to be concerned with. again, my dumb-azzed minion opinion.

not at all, if you met me, you'd love me. i guarantee it

love is a strong word bradley. boxing ring might be needed. better get in shape.
rick i'm trying to help. if anyone disagrees with my advice above, it would be good to put on the table, for your benefit.
as for the other stuff, its all in fun, a leather-like skin growth kit might be for you.
you can't possibly base a conclusion on someone simply from their typewritten posts. you have to meet them in person to learn the "real them". there are people who post/write and sound like a nice person; you meet them and find out otherwise, some can be real ******. i say you're a great guy, to put it on the table. what say you?

i cant believe i am wasting my time typing this crap. by the time i shut this computer off, whatever is said on the bull****net means nothing to me. maybe i will meet you in person maybe i wont. you might think i am a great guy, and you might think i am not. saying all this, what does it really matter? i took the time out of my day to make that post, and up to this point your the only one who has posted, and to be frank if this post hit page 4 in 2 days with "0" replys i wouldnt care.
all i wanted to see was the stock casting, and for fun some engine setups with the SR intake on top. fyi, i allready put the ring on her finger like i mentioned months ago. weddings arent cheap, this is why the car will only run in the 13.60's as it sits.
i thought you learned your lesson in one of my last posts, when you mentioned that a 350 wont go low 12's. your car wont because you will never find out.
have a great day. time to get the car ready for winter storage. i have a car guy friend over at my house, and he says your quite the internet warrior, lol.
time to take a break from this forum. i know your joking brad, but it gets old.

But, I see what you are saying HotRod90 with the too many cooks in the kitchen...HOWEVER I wish I had asked, I have the SR port matched...and now I am taking it off to have it ported.
Sure would've saved me some time doing it before....
From this thread it looks like you guys have everyone in the kitchen and no one upstairs.

And you're quite correct, I've got nothing upstairs
That being said, I still think all Rick really just needs is a hug

I recommend you taking your heads and the intake to a Flow guy and have them tested before head and after head, this is the tell all.
Please post the results when you have done this, it only cost me @ $125 I think, but like I said, my info with ported AFR210's wont help you with smaller ports.
Also I agree with hotrod, deal in facts and less hearsay, just have the head and intake flowed so you will know what you have.
PEACE
The heads were AFRs; and the combo ran the numbers. As some of you mentioned that dealing in facts is the best route, the fact was the SR intake performed DAMN good for being completely unported and being placed on a rather LARGE motor with a relatively LARGE cam.
POint being you can probably port one of these SRs to high heaven and you will probably gain as much from the loss of weight you remove in aluminum chips as you will in increased airflow....
Hope this helps some...
