Looking to replace the opti on my 96 lt4 is aftermarket (MSD) better or worse than GM parts. And is worth the money

Time only knows with the MSD opti as it's still very new. If you're not into being an early adopter, look at the Dynaspark.

On my new engine build I went with a Stage 3 Dynaspark, and the LTCC (which I already had).

I would replace the 95/96 vented optis with a genuine GM part. I'm still not sold on any of the aftermarket units.
