Roller Rocker Installation
I have a '90 L98 (i guess 113 heads). I have GM Performance Parts
1.6rr for installation. These are self aligning. What is a little confusing is in the install instructions it describes what a self aligning rocker arm looks like - "notched" at the top where it meets the valve stem - which is what I have on the car now (stock -stamped metal). Yet there appears to be guide plates for the pushrods on the head. The push rods fall in sort of a notch in the "guide plate". Supposedly - self aligining rockers are on 1988 and up L-98s.
Did they continue to install these "guide plates" even though the self aligning rocker arms were OEM?
