The only way to do it right is to prog it w/ the car. If not, what you wind up getting is some one elses generic program. That is what GM gives you,.. a "generic program". That is like me telling you, "Wow, that thing is real fast now".
If you find someone that say's they can tune your car from 2 miles away, they are full of it. They may be able to tweek it, but to do it right you need the whole car. Do you want to spend a few hundred on a tweek?

I've been using an Intronics Pocket Programmer since I started. It sometimes has trouble getting good contact on a prom with legs slightly out of position but nothing a little "force" can't fix. I also have had decent look with their E-prom emulator which can be flashed quickly. Some have said to have problems using it but so far so good for me. I've only used it on 1227730 and 1227165 ECM's so far though so it may be other ECM's that throw some for a fit. -Jeff
