Need help with headlight
Driver side headlight does shuts all the way , but the motor keeps running. The other light shuts off ok. Have to find a spot on the switch that turns off beam and motor. but light assembly does not shut all the way. (1986 C4)

No bushing on the 86 motor. Bad gear, limit switch ??

If your '86 headlight assemblies have plastic gears like my 1990 headlights had, then you may want to replace them. I replaced the plastic gears with brass gears and I also replaced the bushings. Yours may not have bushings. But the plastic gears in mine were well worn. It has made all the difference. -- Eric
