It's amazing. I mean, there's not even a hole in the muffler or anything. Never had a stock exhaust last this long.

Yes, this was a problem with C4's, and there was a TSB around it when replacing the windshield. I just did a windshield on my 1991, and everything looked good, but the installer did say any scratches that are in the posts should be covered with sealer to prevent future problems.

Just discovered some minor corrosion in my floorboards under the seats. And this is a car that has spent most of it's life in the desert, so this might be an area of concern for cars from wet/salty locations.

Unfortunately, not something you can easily inspect before purchase.

WOW! I thought the entire center section was glas? With the exception of the frame rails of course.

My car is driven daily even in the winter with salt on the roads. No problems at all. The rust I do have is from where paint came off and left bare metal, and it was like that when I bought it and the car was originally sold in Texas.

Little bit of rust on the brake caliper brackets.
That's because you drive so fast, the salt doesn't have time to stick to the car...............

You can take a leaf blower or air compressor hose and force the debris out or you can buy one of those hood drain kits from Eckler's or MAM (Mid-America Motorworks).

Those hood drain kits are not a good idea. You can never get the drain at the lowest spot; makes it somewhat useless. The hood latch drain problem has a very easy fix. Simply remove the latch mechanism (3 bolts); once you have it open, look at the lowest spot inside the "pocket". There is actually a very small hole that the factory has there where the metal folds in the corner. That little hole typically gets clogged with dirt over the years causing water to collect under the hood latch. Simply unclog that hole with a piece of wire; make sure it is completely clear. Then clean up the pocket while you have it open. Also lube the latch mechanism (you have it removed already, why not) and close it up again. Now the water will properly drain and the pocket will dry out quickly after a wash or if the car got caught in the rain. Most people do not realize that there is acutally a tiny drain there located at the lowest spot (yes the factory did think about drainage for the hood latch pocket). I accidentally discovered this on a previous C4 I had where one side would dry out and the other would have a pool of water in there. So, save your money and do not buy that drain kit; you can never get all the water out with it anyway. The tiny factory drain works properly when it is unclogged.
