I get a check engine light and when I hook the diacom up to it I get a (28) Quad driver fault trouble code. What is it and how do I fix it? I think it has to do with the tranny. I have had it before as a trouble code but it never turned on the check engine light before??? Also I have a new 383 in it so it could be anything.

I don't know code 28 nor do I have any data on it. Since an L98 ECM uses quad drivers to fire the fuel injectors and your injectors are batch fire too, I assume it works that way on your LT1.
I suggest you measure resistance of each injector to see if any are shorted or way off the 15Ohm value.

Quad drivers are used to drive several high power devices under the hood. You really need to get the GM manual for this one since you will need to review the circuit for the particular quad driver in question. I get this error code occasionally on my daughter's Bonneville. I believe the TCC lock-up solenoid is actuated by a quad driver, but to be sure you need to get the manual. Maybe someone with a manual can chime in here with the diagnosis chart.

yes the 1-4 is disconnected, but I have the resistor which I thought was suppose to trick the computer?. I will stop by the chevy dealer and see what they say. thanks everyone. If anyone else has anymore suggestions please reply.
Thanks

I'm having exactly the same problem with my 92. If you find out what it is, please to drop me a line at dslater@email.com. I was told by the chevy dealer that there are 5 relays that can cause it and that one of them has overloaded the ecm circuit and that I may need a new ECM...but only after I figured out what caused it in the first place.
