Brake Pad Question

Here is the question: The front brake pads (Axxis?) came taped together. I have two pads with anti-rattle clicks riveted onto the front and the back of the pads. In other words, one clip towards the front and one towards the rear when installed in the calipers. The other two pads have only one clip riveted to the pad. Should I not have four pads with anti-rattle clips? If not, does it make a difference on location on the install? One type installed on the inside of the rotor and the other type on the outside of the rotor?
Both pads on each caliper should be installed with the anti rattle clips (springs, actually) toward the bottom, so that the caliper/pad assembly is supported by them on the bracket.
The extra clips may just be wear sensors. Do they look the same as the others? My rear pads have the sensors, but I don't remember if the fronts do or not. If this is what they are, install the pads with the wear sensors on the inboard side of either caliper.
Pics would help. I wasn't completely clear on your description.
