actually... the price is 100% completely dependent on hether or not your stock flywheel is wiped out and you have melted the rubber dampening material between the two mass sections. if you need to replace your flywheel.. then the mcleod wins hands down as it comes with a new flywheel, two discs, pressureplate, master cylinder and all hardware inclusing new flywheel bolts. the GM dual mass flywheels are about 7-900 bucks depending on where ya get them and I think the price is still going up. that doesn't include the new clutch assembly either. do yourself a favor if your clutch is slipping and has some miles on it.. bite the bullet and grab the mcleod.. it will hold the power, lastlonger, can be rebuilt to new specs for about 300 bucks by the manufacturer.. too many pluses! bottom line.. don't waste money on a lesser clutch because eventually your going to NEED the mcleod to handle the torque of FI!
I had the centerforce this summer, with slicks and no nitroz after 3 turns on the strip the clutch starting to give up.
With 100hp nitroz from second gear it worked. From first gear no chans for the clutch.
With 175 hp nitroz... hmm. Low temp outside all gears slipping. So now I´m upgrading for the mcloyd.
As someone said, new flywhell 200-300$, cluch 400$, about 700$.. Mcloyd is 1100$ al included.
It depends on how u use the car.
In my case I payed almost 1400$ for my centerforce with flywheel, a guy trickt me. He said that it gonna hold for 800hp..
And I live in sweden, so it´s hard to just return and ****.
