I have over 6k on this engine. About one month ago I changed the #4 intake valve seal when I started seeing oil on the spark plug . Before changing the valve seal the car never misfire when I drove it (on and off the track)and never smoked upon morning starts. Now since I changed the seal, the plug begins to foul within 2 to 4 mile of driving. The miss is hardly noticeble unless I put foot in it(at high RPM above 3,000rpm) I'm hoping it's not the rings. I'm hoping it's just an improper valve lash. Here's a picture of the last two plugs. The plug on the left is a bosh platinum with 20 miles on it and the plug on the right is an Autolite 24 with 3 mile on it. Could someone help me out ?
Sounds kinda goofy you're having a problem now after just a valve seal change. How's oil consumption? I'd probably do a compression test to either prove or eliminate rings.
