Do a search. It was covered extensively about a week ago.

Default Bread box thread.

Here is a link to the Bread Box thread with some pics I took of mine apart.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...1541538&page=2

I will look and see if I have any pics of it with the knee panel removed. As I recall the knee panel was a serious pita to remove. There was one nut that you like had to come in from a high angle and it was surrounded by plastic.

One sec checking my pictures to see if I have any with it off.

No, surprisingly I actually don't have a picture of it but in looking at the ones I posted in that other thread I rememeber where they are bolted on. There are two aluminum vertical brackets behind the plastic structure that is behind the bread box. I think the wiring harness even runs through one of them. They are L shaped so the bottom of the vertical bracket is horizontal to the floor of the car and to the knee panel. It is in this horizontal spot on the aluminum brackets that the bolts for the knee panel are. One high toward the front and one lower toward the back. I remember them now because getting a socket on them was one of the most miserable parts of the dash disassembly. As I recall it was just those four although there is a hush panel and some other things that bolt to it that would have to be removed first. Foot A/C heater duct etc. The bolt is where part of the beams are structural and aren't that small, meaning not 8mm, more like 1/4 or something. I think you can see the uprights in my pictures in the other thread if you look past the plastic stuff to the depths of the dash behind it. Hope this helps. Shiny bare aluminum.
