Default Need advice on Pacesetter headers and exhaust

I was looking at the Pacesetter headers and wondered what you guys thought about this setup.

I was thinking about using these headers...http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...&dept%5Fid=160

Keeping my down tubes with cats, removing the resonator, putting H or X pipe where it was and then have straight pipes all the way back putting my stock LT1 tips on the end of the pipe.

Has anyone done this combo? Should I feel some power? How loud will it be? I'm all stock now.

I love my Pacesetter Armor coated shortys. I can't say about the combination you suggest, but I'd say it will be very loud.
My stock exhaust system sounds great with just the shortys.
By the way, you can get them about $80 cheaper from Corvette Central.

I would definately go ceramic coated regardless of which brand header you choose. Personally i would look into the hooker shorties or find some slp ones. Those seem to flow better than the pacesetter.

Concur that cheaper prices can be had at Corvette Central. If (big if) you can find a set of SLP shorties you might do better on the upper end of the rpm range as these are 1 3/4 inch vs the Pacesetter 1 5/8 - NO I do not want to start this header size discussion on the CF again

I have a set of Hooker shorties 1 3/4 inch Jet-hot coated - will be going into my 95 either before or most likely after the holidays...

If going this route - check Summit or Jegs............

If you plan on keeping everything like you say, then I'd not bother especially for plug clearance. My buddy's 96 Vette auto, has gone 12.2 @ 110 without any header, only stock manifolds, stock intermediate pipe and muffler eliminators.
