Default need 89 timing chain/sprocket information

Instead of taking the 89 vette to a shop, I figured I would do work on it myself. Took heads off to fix overheated blown head gaskets. Heads went back on no problem. Thought I would change the timing chain set while the front of the motor was easy to get to. Got a set from the local speed shop. Went to take the crank sprockt off, it looks differant than the one in the set from the speed shop. Did they sell me a wrong part? I await any response. Thanks, Steve

Probably not but you would have to inspect both, side by side to be sure. My guess is that the factory sprocket is for the stock Morse chain and the new one is for a roller chain.

RACE ON!!!

I would double check the chain you got on the vendors web site... just to be sure. It also takes a special upper spocket w/ our roller cam blocks to clear the cam keeper ring.
