A friend of mine has an 89 vette and had a paint job done a couple months back. When they did it, they had to remove some trim that goes all around the car about in the middle of the body. Well, he can't find anyplace that makes that piece for his rear body. We don't know what its called or where to get it. If I had a pic, I would point out where it is. Anyone know what it is and/or where he could get it?
Order an Ecklers or Midamerica magazine.. they show diagrams with just about every piece that you can order. You could also call and describe it to them, they might be able to find out a part name/# for you that way as well.
I think what you are looking for is called body (or belt) molding. If you are just looking for the rear piece it would be either the rear bumper side or rear bumper center belt. I know Corvette Central carries it and will check my Mid America and Ecklers catalogs when I get home tonight.
