Edmond,
That is with 1-5/8" headers and 3" dual exhaust and no cats.
Dominic,
I also find it interesting that you picked up mph going from 12.8 to 12.2.
Once I get it to 12.8 AFR I will try going between 12.2 & 13.0 for the best time.
Yeah usually the best A:F ratio to shoot for is 12.5:1, depending on the car, you will usually find the most power between 12 and 13. Fatten up the fuel a bit and you might get some more power out of her.

There's another forum member (ben73) with a 383 using a
Xram/AFR heads and 2 TBI units. He's had very similar results as I have. I would guesstimate picking up another 15-20 rwhp dropping the AFR from 13 to 12.2. Again, it'll depend on the combo of heads and cam but its worth a try since the worst that can happen is fouling the plugs, unlike going the other way.
Dominic,
If you are correct about the afr 13.0 to 12.2 then I would be right where my goal was when I started the project. I was shooting for 360rwhp. Here's hopin for you being right!
Cheers,
John

Don't forget the Spark Advance. BTW, I'm using 1.75" primaries on my TPIS headers followed by 3" Magnaflow Cat back. Tons of torque.

I may of missed it, but John you ZF6 or 700R4? Curious, Do you think the 1 5/8 primary tubes are slowing you down or no? Most guys have 1 3/4. Anyways, 360rwhp would be cool, congrats.

BLACKZ51,
I have a 700r4 with a TCI 3000 lock up stall converter.
I don't know if the headers are holding me back or not. Eventually I will change them as they are just cheap hedmans.
I still think I can get the 360rwhp just tuning it.

gotcha. 360rwhp is around 440-450 flywheel i think......that's good.
