Default Performance Chip Question, please read

I just ordered one of those Superchips Performance Chips for my 91 and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this product, if so is there any noticible diffrence in performance?

From what I have been going through. I would get a datalog of your ECM and send that to a tuner for a custom chip. Better outcome.

If you don't have a Factory Service Manual, I would spend the money on that. No performance gain, but it will save you money in the long run when you have to start working on car.

Under drive pulleys. The steel March power and amp series are under $100.

I recommend pcmforless.com and their custom chips.

Performance improvements and options for a stock 1990 here:

Installation procedure here:

For the money, quality of tune, and individual customization, my opinion is that they're the best deal around, period.

1.6 Roller Rockers would cost about 250 and net alot more.

Chips are only useful when they are custom, and only then when you have significant modifications or are completely done with all mods you have planned and just want to optimize it. They do not give the power gains that are claimed by most makers.

I would not buy anything but a custom chip.
