Default Emptying the gastank...

I just purchased a 1986 Vette for a ridiculous price. The problem is that the gas in the tank has been in there for 2 years. The gentleman that I bought it from has not driven or started it during that time(long story). The car will turn over fine, but will not start up. There is approximately 3/4 of a tank of gas in there. I tried to syfine(?) it with a hose, but no luck on getting the old gas out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm eager to get her back on the road. :D

Getting it out of the tank should be no problem...Disconnect the fuel filter, put a piece of long hose on the line and turn the ignition on...Maybe with a charger attached to the battery...Dump the gas; it's little use any more...

...But purging and cleaning out the fuel rails and injectors may be difficult... :(

The gas is the small problem.

Just pray to God that none of the seals or gaskets dried up... that will be hell.
