I got my 1 5/8" long tubes from LPE directly while they were still available. This was back in the summer of 2002. You may be able to find a used set somewhere.
The ss is nice, but there are other stainless steel options available today.
I did lose some ground clearance, I drag at least one primary tube every once in a while on the road, plug access is difficult, especially the #8. They also run very close to the oil filter.
My performance gains were minimal, compared to factory manifolds and true duals. I Maybe picked up 0.5 mph with the headers and an SLP cold air kit that were installed at roughly the same time. This is a big maybe since the improved mph also was with better air (November compared to July).
