Default colder spark plugs

I have a 1995 LT1 mild modified. What you think, colder plugs (Example NGK TR6) or stock AC 41-906. Which is better? I have a 160 stat and Hypertech Programmer, 52 TB , Hooker SC, etc. Any power gains ?

Stick with a NGK TR55 or its iridium equal. There is no sense going to a colder plug with your mods. I don't like the factory plugs only because they are a double platinum, and the little platinum discs (pucks) tend to fall off. Out of all the spark plug gimmicks, for example split-fire, now tri fire or what ever they call it now. The iridium type fine wire plugs actually makes for a hotter plasma spark to initiate the burn.
If you are experiencing some light detonation due to high chamber temperatures, then check the EGR system, if its ok then go with a colder plug such as the NGK TR6.

I would see where the heat belt is on the plug you have now.
