Default corsa exhaust ?

Thinking of jumping on the group by for a corsa exhaust system on my 91 l98 vert. Do i need to keep the pre cats and cat, or do they get eliminated? pics look like i have to keep them or buy other parts. If so can i get SS tubing to fit this system to the stock manifold?

tx and merry christmas to ya all

On the L98 Corsa system, the pre-cats and cats are retained. Unless you're getting headers also, I'd leave them alone

Its a catback system if made for a 91, so it'll keep all the converters. It just bolts to the backside of the main cat.

Any time I've ever had a cat rattling, it's been because the cat was shot. If that's the case, I suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace it. Be sure that the cat is the culprit, though, before coughing up the $$$ for a new one.

Group purchase price I got wasnt any different than the price I got 6 mos ago. Maybe its in the fine print somewhere..

I just cant see spending a grand for 2 muffs, resonator and some pipe no matter how good it sounds.

I think I would like the music, from the pipes, but thats a lot of money. But I remain confused, if I had an Lt1, for $200 more it includes the cats, and the pipe all the way to the manifolds? all in SS or so the LT1's have the cat in the engine and i shoud have bought a 92, or are the cats in the muffler? I am new to this vette, am i missing something?

As far as I know the cats are separate from the system, meaning they mount after your exaust manifolds, before the Corsa system.

Yes, they sound great and id love to have a set but the price could use some working on. An authentic LT1 style tip would be nice too as we get tagged out here for aftermarket "looking" exhaust.
Ok Ill quit dreaming now

thanks, but I will remain confused.

Just will see what I have to do to stop the rattle, if I can figure it out. If I can get the raido to work, or replacement, maybe I can turn it up and not notice as much.

"are 2 mufflers worth $750?
"

Do a search on the intenet (Google, Yahoo, etc). There are vendors out there that sell the Corsa L98 system for less than $750 and include the shipping.

For example, www.autopartswarehouse.com has it for $672.95.

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/pe...d=37&year=1991

There are others also. Shop around and save a few $$$$$!

I am very happy with my Corsa system.

Go ahead and get a Hi-flow main cat. Corvette Central sells a Magnaflow catback system for $299 with the crossover y pipe. They also have the cat, might as well change it all.
