Did anyone do this to there car? If so, is it worth it. I want my car to be louder to have that corvette sound. Also if anyone has any pics of it, can you please post it. thanks

Yes, it is worth it, but I wouldn't buy the actual Muffler Eliminators. Just go to any competent exhaust shop. Cost me $70 for the whole job, and the guy was really professional about making sure everything lined up good. Sounds great!

I had a local shop do the muffler elim using 2.5 inch stainless steel tubing. Sounds great, total cost $66. Saves about 28 pounds. FrankLT4

I did it, and honestly, if you want LOUD, you'll ALSO have to eliminate your cats and run headers.

I used to poo-poo the idea of muffler eliminators until I bought a really nice '94 convertible with them already installed. I'll be damned, it sounded pretty good and was not obnoxiously loud, either. Certainly livable. Don't expect any noticeable power gains, though. No substitute for a good cat-back exhause system.

I bought my car w/ this already done. It has THREE AND HALF (yes I said 3.5) inch pipe on it

It reasonates too high and I SWEAR I'm losing low end torque (not enough back pressure)

If I had a way to prove it I'd throw some flowmasters on tehre

I did this about 7 years ago, did feel like I loss a little low end, but it's so slight. After I installed the 4.09 in the rear it more than made up for it.

The sound can't be beat but the resonance is starting to get to me after all these years. I might move to magnaflow, they are supposed to be loud, nice looking, inexpensive, and they are supposed to flow as much as an elim.

Put elims on last December ... great sound but the resonance at cruising speed is a bit much at times, especially for the wife.

Got a set of Corsas sitting in the garage waiting to be installed as soon as I get the Vette back from the shop.
