Default Rear Wheel Bearing

I have been reading the post about bad wheel bearings and I checked mine the left side has almost no movement at the 12 to 6oclock position the right side has approx.25 thousandts movement when checked on the front surface of the rim with a dial indicator is this considerd to much and needs to be changed . what are the limits? I would like to drive it to Florida next week which is 1200 miles from my house . I dont know if this amount of free play is something to worry about. and I schould replace it before I go. Thanks BOB R.

I would not fret it... it's more than likely been like that for a while.

I don't remember the range, off hand... but I would replace both, just to be sure.

Mine were much worse than that. Drove it all over central Florida with no problems. New bearings should be at the top of your 'To Do" list however.
