Sluggish 4+3 OD shifting

Sluggish 4+3 OD shifting
Well, the bad 4+3 bug has finally bitten me. It's always done fine but lately it doesn't shift instantly and sometimes it shifts out of OD by itself for no appearant reason. I've heard here about some relay that can cause trouble. Where is this located and could this be the problem?

you did not mention the year of your car.
The O/D relay on the 85 is located to the left of your power brake
booster on your firewall.
There are two relays back to back and the one next to the firewall is for the
O/D. The 2nd one is your brake relay switch.
Note that both relays are the same, ie-part #.
Just for your info, there are 2 relay switches on the O/D unit as well.
You can allways go to 4speeds.com and ask their techs about your problem.
They may be able to help since the 4+3 is their specialty.
