and they want 100 bucks.I need to shop around

$100 is too much, $75 tops. Way under an hour job even putting tips on.

For cutting the stock mufflers and replacing with blank pipe, $100 is high unless you are getting some new tips at the same time. I would not expect to pay more than $60 to $75.

$100 is not bad at all including new tips, as long as they are not cheap tips that are going to rust in 3 months.

heh heh...not that loud...that's what I thought when I installed a set of B&B Bullets on my C5.....granted it is a convertable, so more sound is heard in the interior...I would suspect an LT1 would sound similar to an LS1 with the setup you are considering...
