I'm finally getting around to installing the SW LT headers. I have 53K on the car. 1. Would you also change out the spark plug wires or will the stock wires do fine? (The car runs great right now.) 2. If changing the wires, what brand do you recommend? Thanks.
I did em when i did my headers (62000 miles) I decided to upgrade to MSD wires and coil as well. I also did the fuel filter. Might as well do the little stuff like that while your at it.
Do the stock wires (if they only have 53K miles on them) still work well with headers? In other words, would there be any heat issues with headers and the stock wires?
When I had my SW LT's installed a year ago (15,000 miles ago) The car only had 40K on it so we left the stock wires alone. We did put some insulated socks on several of the plug wires where they came close to the header tubes but that was it, and I've had -0- problems since the install.
You'll love the additional torq you'll get out of the SW LT's not to mention the better sound.
