Default Rev limiter

Is the rev limiter in the 730ecm ( 8D ) code any good? I know its suppose to cut the fuel. But is it reliable? Isent it "better" to cut the spark instead of fuel?
Whats your opinion?

Thanks

Default I have always tried to do both

I have always pulled spark first then fuel if need be. Rather than kill spark Retard to a point will pull hp. You still may be able to rev higher though. So fuel is next.

That is just the way I was taught. I am sure there are MANY here that are more well versed at this than I.

I think fuel is cut to prevent a 'rich' situation without spark that could flood or damage the cats.
