There is a guy selling an Ecklers chambered exhaust here locally. Its used, but no holes and minimal rust.
Benn on a 95 and a 92. 95 got sold to a woman who said it was too loud, and had the stock exhaust put back on. Then it was put on the 92, and then replaced by a different system.
it has no H pipe, no resonators, its just true duals, chambered, muffler eliminators, with LT1 tips.
its $125 picked up. Will I notice any performance increase with it? Anyone familiar with them? He said it sounds like Flowmasters, but Im not sure. I want to get some more sound, but I don't want it too loud.
I like the sound of the Power Effects, Muffler Eliminators, etc. Will I like this, or should I save my money?

You'll like the sound, it's deeper toned than the others including Flowmasters. I had the chambered catback and the loud sound you hear is behind you, not in the cabin. It can be loud at times but not the head banging resonance that some exhausts have on C4s. I will say though that when I revved on a Mustang group up on Skyline Drive it rattled the trees, It will get you noticed.
hate to start bumping so soon, but I'm supposed to go look at it this afternoon and would like as much info and as many opinions as I can get before I go writing checks.
I've done the same thing. just install a bung for the O2 sensor and you are good to go. You will like the sound when the exhaust is on
awesome, thanks a bunch. Do you happen to know the diameter of the pipe on the Ecklers exhaust? If not I'll just bring a tape with me, I hope its 2 3/4 like the corvette central exhaust.
I still havn't heard anything about performance gains hehe.
I had a set of chambered exhausts pipes on my 94. I don't know whose they were, I bought them used. The previous owner also installed a pair of bullet mufflers behind the exhaust tips to muffle to sound some. Seems he didn't like the loudness of the unmuffled pipes. They sounded great, absolutely wonderful, both on his car before I bought it and afterwards on my car.
However, they cost a 10rwhp loss. This was dyno verified against the stock exhaust. If you're looking to gain hp, this might not be the way to do it. I've got a 3" SLP system on it now, and it runs a whole lot better (seat of the pants only, no dyno till next month.)
Sweet. I got it today, gonna try to get it installed tomorrow. I don't have a camcorder, but my digicam can take short video, but I dunno how good the mic is, but I'll try to get a clip.
well its getting installed tuesday, does anyone have any sound clips of this exhaust or a similar one?
This is an old one of mine with the bone stock engine. This was done with my Fuji digicam and the mic pickup lost the lows. The exhaust tone is really deeper than this.
