Default right headlight problem

One I my wires going to the motor got fried and now I have no power going to the motor, I check for power at the connector and there was none. I checked the fuse on the fenderwell and it was good, even swapped it out with th LH fuse.
Is there another fuse I can check?

hm.... I would have to check a manual...

I am wondering if a relay got fried when the wire died. Also, I assume the wire has been repaired?

Relay was what I thought of too, if the wire has been fixed. Check it out....not sure where it's located on yours if not on the driverside radiator shroud.

Did you remove the negative battery terminal for a minute and see if the module resets? (The circuit may have crowbared to protect itself from a short).

The Headlight control module is located on the front of the driver side fender well. It's a black colored small block with two plug harness going to it.

Plug C1 has 4 wires. Two for each motor.
Gray/Black and Dark Green/Black for LH motor
Gray and Gark Green for RH motor.

Plug C2 has 5 wires.
Two Red wires each has 12 volts at all times.
Black wire is ground.
Yellow wire should have 12 volts when headlight switch is in head position.
White wire should have 12 volts when headlight switch is in off position.

The relay the manual is referring to is a solid state relay (not mechanical) built into the Headlight Control Module.

Did you apply 12 volts to the plug of the motor that had the wire short out and verify the motor works?

If you did, and disconnecting and reconnecting the battery doesn't solve your problem, the only conclusion is the Headlight Control Module is bad.

no voltage at the light connector, after I disconnected the battery. So I need the relay, just one question. Where the bloody heck is the stupid thing???

Hooked on Vettes told you where it was.

it's a black box, held on by 2 bolts thru the left front fenderwell.
Open the hood, get beside the left front tire. lean over the tire and put your left hand down the fenderwell, not the tire side, the other side towards the front of the car, down at the bottom of the fenderwell, put your hand on the module and viola! there it is.

It is not serviceable by user, it is not a mechanical relay, it is an electronic relay. there are no schematics that i have been able to find.

replace it, it is not cheap, unless you find one on the forum or the net.

Eckler's Corvette Parts or Mid-America Motorworks (MAM) carries them.
