This is for my dad, but he's getting really stressed over it so i thought id try and help. He was driving down a road, put it in neutral, revved it up and it stalled, after that it wouldnt start. We know no fuel is getting into the carbs, and we replaced the fuel pump and that didnt fix it. Anyone with any help it would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Josh. Btw this is for an 84 crossfire.
I don't know... just based on what you said, it sounds like no fuel is pumping up, so I guess I'd probably trace back at every spot you could check for fuel flow and see if it's clogged along the way some where.
Do you know if the injectors are not firing, or if there is not fuel pressure are the injectors?
Have you checked to make sure you are getting spark?
Also check your electrical connections at the injectors to see if they are get a signal to fire. Check the distributor connections, make sure the ECU has a tach signal.

From what was posted, there is no fuel pressure...only. I would start with the basic things. Check the fuel pump fuse, check to make sure the new pump is recieving 12v through control of the fuel pump relay. Use a jumper wire from the pos side of the battery to terminal G (first bottom terminal on the ALDL under the dash) and see if any pressure builds. If everything is up to snuff, the fuel pump should run until the jumper wire is removed. With the wire still there, test the fuel pump wiring harness at the tank to see if you are getting any voltage. If there is voltage and no fuel pressure, it's time to pull the pump back out and check over what you guys did. I hope you replaced the sock and strainer when you did the pump.
Also if the fuel filter has been on there for 30,000 miles....replace it too.
I would verify that the pump is acutally working and making pressure, before checking anything else. You will need a fuel pressure guage to help with all this if you don't have one. Other than that you can push the schrader valve to see if gas comes out, under pressure.
No sense in checking for spark or injector pulses until you have fuel pressure. Then if no start, I would start with those.
