Default Radiator Question

96 LT1 vert. I am getting ready to remove the radiator to do some general maintenance, upper/lower hose and I am going to backflush the radiator. My queston is - when I remove the transmission cooler lines do I have to worry about purging the system upon reinstalling the trans cooler lines? I could not find anything in the FSM that spoke about this so I just wanted some feedback. Do I just reconnect the lines and am ready to go or do I have to bleed the system like the cooling system? Thanks in advance.

No worries about the trans lines getting air. It will "self bleed" any air in the system same as when you do the screen change. Just don't forget that you need to chect the stick to see how much fluid you lost while the rad was out and refill it.

Tom

Forgot this, I use rubber fuel hose w/ bolts at one end to slip on the trans lines so I don't get a mess while the lines are off.
